Elena removed from Board after admitting her yard was being “serviced as a courtesy” for being on the Board for the past three years. There is now a vacancy is a homeowner is interested in serving.
Below are thoughts and comments voiced by homeowners in the meeting:
- Former Board member (Elena) was receiving “courtesies” from contractors that we-the-homeowners pay for. Photos were presented of landscapers servicing the yard of Michelle, the Board President, who denied any wrongdoing and said that “lake houses are given the courtesy for palm removal and bring them to the front”. As a lake house owner myself, and speaking with several of my lake-house neighbors, we can attest to the fact that statement is false.
- Parking was a topic brought up my several members, and the new restrictions against parking around the cul-de-sac is troublesome for many.
- Concerns were raised about pet owners picking up after their pets.
- There are still some damaged trees and sidewalks in-and-around the community that require attention.
- Why was the canopy/hardwood trimming cost not sent out to bid?
Meeting was adjourned with no confirmed date for next meeting.
